Upon my triumphant return to the blogosphere I do so trying to preview a highly uninteresting  huge matchup between the 5-4 aggies of Texas A&M and our 5-4 Oklahoma Sooners.  As Ponderos once said, I aplogize for my absence (shout out to you - 4 readers) but life does have it's priorities, one of them being sometimes you gotta take care of some shit you actually get paid for so there you go...as for the game...

Somebody's looking to get bowl eligible here folks, so go ahead try to tell me this doesn't mean something.  Landry Jones returns to the field trying to put the nightmare in Lincoln out of his head. Here's to hoping he's done just that, as I'm sure Aggie DC Joe Kines will be sure to have at least 1 safety at least 15 yards behind any crossing or seam route over the middle just in case LJ decides to employ those texbook mechanics of throwing off his back foot and sailing balls into row 10.  Jones clearly has major issues when he is getting pressure and while the Aggie D overall is not very good, they do sport the nation's sack leader, noted badboy Von Miller.  I'd like to say as long as he matched up across from Trent Williams we'll be fine but not even that is a given this year as the supposed leader of OU's patchwork OL has been anything but.

Best guess at OU's starting OL saturday are Williams - Jeffries - Habern - Good - Brandon. Probably the 1st time all year (in the 10th game) that this particular lineup has played together which is comical.  Our OL issues that will not be solved anytime soon had better be the focal point of the offseason development or seasons like this one will become more the norm than the exception.  Our struggles on the OL in regards to attrition, recruiting, development, talent identification etc etc are truly epic and are the contents of another post which would give me extreme tired head to write so I'll leave it to someone else.

A&M has some decent pieces on offense, especially at the skill positions and have put up some points on people. Johnson the qb is a nice athlete, and the 2 headed RB monster of true freshman Christine Michael and soph Cyrus Gray have speed to burn. Jeff Fuller, though hurt most of the year, has returned and is a burgeoning stud at WR (bastard, should be in crimson, not maroon) and true freshman WR Nwachukwu kept them upright when Fuller was hurt and has made some plays.  These guys rolled into Lubbock and donkey stomped a Tech team that counts them as their biggest rival a few weeks back. While Tech is about as Jekyll and Hyde as any team in the South this year, that was an impressive result.

I believe they start a couple of true freshman on their OL too and that is the weak spot on their team, as well. McCoy, Taylor, Beal and co. will likely eat their lunch and give Johnson some problems but if he's able to escape and get the ball to some of the skill position talent they might hang in there.  Overall, I expect OU to win this game based solely on the location in which it's played. If this game was in Collie Station in front of the fired up farmer crowd, a loss would not surprise me at all.  We need to win out for a shot at a respectable bowl - and by that I mean Cotton/Holiday and it starts Saturday night at Owen Field.

OU 27 ATM 13. How do we get to 27 you say? No freakin clue.
