Before we at TaW can even get the "State of the Season" post finished, OU's east coast duo of Stephen Pledger and Andrew Fitzgerald added another chapter to it by shoplifting (allegedly) from the Sooner Fashion Mall Dillard's on Saturday night after the game.
Pledger's currently averaging 6.5 ppg in 19.9 minutes per game. The Chesapeake, VA native was thought to be a replacement for Juan Pattillo and showed promise early on with his 3-pt range. He had 9 points and 4 rebounds in 24 clutch minutes against Texas on Saturday. He scored 20 first half points against Houston at the Great Alaska Shootout back in November '09.
Fitzgerald, a first-year player from Baltimore, is logging 3.5 ppg in his 13 minutes per game and with his 6'8", 261-lb frame, is was a nice depth addition behind Ryan Wright and Tiny Gallon.
Interested to see how Capel handles this. It's not like the season's going to go in the crapper by putting these two in street clothes for the rest of the season.
