Basketball Recruiting News

While the Men's team is struggling with a myriad of problem too numerous to detail.

The Women's team received good news that Aaryn Ellenberg has been named to the McDonald's West Team.

Aaryn is having a fantastic senior year for Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas. The best description for Aaryn is that she is Danielle Robinson with a jump shot. Aaryn apparently is deadly both going to the hoop and from 3 point range. She will get to be Robinson's understudy for a year before taking over the point guard duties.

Now, the Men's team did not have anyone named to the McDonald's game. Their highest rated signee 6-6 wing Cameron Clark was right on the edge of being named to the McDonald's game (he's ranked around 25 to 30 by most services).

OU is still recruiting one player who was named to the team. Terrence Jones from Oregon is a 6-9 PF/SF who visited last fall and could extend OU's McDonald's streak to 4 years in a row.

One other recruiting note, OUHoops.com is reporting that JUCO Center 7-1 Aziz N'Diaye visited Norman to watch OU knock off then top 20 ranked Texas. N'Diaye has shot up the rankings to be the number one  JUCO center in the country. N'Diaye would provide a huge boost in rebounding and defensive presence for the Sooners. N'Diaye is redshirting at College of Southern Idaho due to a knee injury.
